We believe everyone deserves a bit more peace of mind in their everyday lives. More than that, Empath Magna is about restoring faith in the everyday kindness of others. Given the chance, most people want to help—whether it's opening a door, scanning a Beacon to alert someone, or knocking on a neighbour's door to check on them.

We provide simple, affordable products and services that connect people and communities, share critical information when it's needed, and enable fast, safe responses in moments of stress or urgency. We focus on simplicity, privacy, and real-life practicality, blending thoughtful technology with behavioral insight to empower everyday people, without requiring them to be tech experts.
We started Empath Magna after a close relative came home from heart surgery and needed ongoing care. Managing access to their key safe was harder than it should've been — codes were shared, forgotten, or out of date, and it was impossible to ensure everyone had the right access when it really mattered. Worst of all, in an emergency, how would the Emergency Services get in without forcing the door? That's when we created what we now call the Key-Master.
The Beacon came about after frustration with not being able to reach out to a local holiday let when their bins had blown over or to notify another neighbour of storm damage while they were away. So, we created the My-Beacon, a powerful QR code sticker you place on the property you want to protect, and if someone notices a problem, they can simply scan and message you instantly.

Phil is one half of the husband-and-wife duo behind Empath Magna. With over 20 years of experience as a Software Engineer and Architecture, he's helped build and scale global e-commerce platforms used by millions. But at heart, Phil is a creator & problem solver with a passion for making everyday life safer and simpler. At Empath Magna, he brings deep technical expertise to life in products that quietly empower people—creating peace of mind through thoughtful, accessible technology.
Debbie Elson - Co-Founder & Customer Champion
Debbie is the other half of the husband-and-wife team behind Empath Magna. With a background in retail, marketing, and customer care, she's spent her career connecting with people and understanding what truly matters to them. She brings warmth, empathy, and an instinct for great service to every part of the customer experience. At Empath Magna, Debbie ensures the human side of the business is never forgotten - making sure our products not only work well, but feel good to use.
